Anne Morrow Lindbergh has written the best book on being a woman I have ever read:
Written in 1955 it’s message & style still feels absolute contemporary.

I, too, really enjoyed reading this book. She surprised me, not with her rather elegant writing, but with her perspective. As you note it was written in 1955.
