population density

I believe that how & where we live is important for who we become. I think that our sense of space becomes a part of our identity, our personality. Living conditions are a personal matter. I have no idea who I would have become living like this:


I have never been to Hong Kong, but the German photographer Michael Wolf has given us some fantastic images of what it can look like.

    Hong Kong is a country but also a city. Life in many cities is similar in this way. For example, the population density of the urban core of Oslo is 3300/km2, per wikipedia.

      Certainly, there are many urban areas with very high density, but inner city Oslo has only half the population pr/km2 of Hong Kong.

      That’s just a perfect image of how dense this city is; sheep has to hang outside the balconies…

    I can’t help but wonder if such density of population would encourage more competition , or herding tendencies . Or bee hive behavior even?
