Heh heh… I do that trick all the time…. write in lines. Somehow it really does seem so much more deep !!! One of the great literary illusions I guess. 🙂
I’m reading Kim Addonizio, she says:
“Scientists have discovered that outer space – what we think of as space – isn’t. It turns out there is something they call dark matter, and it exists between the stars. So maybe for a poem, the page is white matter, rather than blank space.”

There is the curious matter of the space the words (almost) contain, like trees the wind blows, like wind the trees blow through.
