At home

The Captive Reader has for more than a year been posting on a beautiful series called Library Lust.
This is a picture from my living room, there are more shelves to the left, outside of the picture frame. As you can see the book shelf is in a real mess, and loads of books lies in stacks around the house, waiting to be put into the right places. I have a plan for the summer; to systemize, organize and tidy up! I’m giving some of my books away to a second hand store. Its difficult to part – but necessary, I just don’t have enough room for it all.

The books that are of most interest to me right now are in my study. I might show you a picture some day – …

Yes, let’s see more … your study in particular. I love seeing others books and studies. I don’t have a blog so I’m sorry you can’t see my overcrowded bookshelves or study!

I’m officially depressed. If this is messy I don’t dare giving my book shelves a name… Thanks for sharing the picture.

good! Libraries, makes me think of all the good things in life: books, stories, free time, tranquility, architecture … and all the people in the world finding it meaningful to read!

What a lovely place to read! Those shelves are great. The only kind of tidying I like is tidying up my bookshelves 🙂

That room is gorgeous! It looks so tranquil and comfortable. I like a little disorder in a home- shows you’re really living there.

I think it’s a very Scandinavian room – big windows – because we never get enough sun, a Danish sofa and shelves from IKEA – . I inherited this house from my parents, and have been living in it for most of my life (except when studying). Today I share it with my husband, a son at 21 (on his way to Wales for studying history) a daughter at 18 & two dogs.
